Two blog posts had to be done today. Too many pictures of our beautiful Deutschland in the Fall that had to be shared

We had a wonderful time with our company seeing so many beautiful things and enjoying each other's company. We have such a glorious world!! And then it was time to go back to work.

Santis. Brrrrr!

Apparently some of us can't get off the ground.
 Longest falls in Deutschland.
So much gorgeous scenery. Bodensee and the Rhein meet.
All too soon it was time to say good bye.

Delicious food everywhere!!
This mountain seemed to be leaking into this pond.
Back to work. We delivered copies of our precious book in several
different languages and supplies to our valiant missionaries.

What's the first thing you need to do when you visit? Sleep!!
We love serving a mission and we really love when family comes to visit. It has been cooler, rainy and beautiful. We've had to wear tights under jeans and jackets under coats but nothing stopped us from traveling and seeing. Mission work has been put on hold but we have still managed to keep in touch with our missionaries and our young adults that we serve.

Sound of Music tour is a must!

Look closely - "Liesl" is frolicking in the gazebo!
Do-Re-Mi of course!
Mirabell Gardens where you can leap.
Beautiful views everywhere we went!
We mined salt.

We climbed a mountain.

We explored.

The year is winding down. Beautiful trees are putting on their fall colors, our closets have been changed to fall clothes, the young sisters were chastised for not wearing tights, boots and warmer coats, the heaters have come on and soup recipes have been pulled out. The weatherman says we have a chance of snow by this week end. Raise your hand if you're not ready for THAT!! We received two phone calls that are another sign of passing time - our plane tickets home have been ordered and our replacements called! Mixed emotions!!
This family knows how to throw a birthday party!! We were so happy
to be invited to help celebrate!

A small fortress we have wanted to
climb up to, time is running out.

We can now say we have eaten Wild Boar. It was provided straight
from the forest by this dad.
Candy for a clean apartment and a mop to help make it cleaner!
They were actually excited to get a new mop!!

Everybody got a new mop and candy. We saw lots of clean
apartments this week and delivered lots of supplies.

Apple cake and Orange Qwark go great together.

Fun people!
October is beautiful in Germany!! Lots of celebrations (German Unification Day, Oktoberfest every week end) and the leaves are turning vibrant colors. We had homemade pizza made for us by some fabulous young people, oh, my, it was delish! A wonderful friend took us all exploring the nearby Bodensee. We inspected apartments and delivered needed supplies. We visited some wonderful people and took treats. And we got to hear the words of the prophets. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the privilege of having what is called General Conference twice a year. We are able to view it here live from Salt Lake City. The young missionaries came to our apartment to enjoy it with us. It's a glorious time of year.
Such a beautiful world in which we live - Bodensee on a beautiful day.

Found a rock building hill overlooking the lake.

This guy knows how to make pizza. Best we've ever had!

They needed a new vacuum and bedding.
Looking across the street. I think the skies
are turning bluer as the trees turn orange.
Watching a wonderful Fall Conference.

This was a very sweet week and it was full: We were taught in two different conferences - one for the young missionaries and one for the "old, seasoned" missionaries. When we had a few minutes between meetings we explored. We had a great time seeing new things, meeting new people and learning from inspired people. We were able to tour a chocolate factory and witness a baptism on the same day - both very sweet experiences.
He's sitting outside our kitchen window. I've named him Friedrick
 and he apparently likes Cheerios.
We finished a quilt for a new sweet baby in our
branch.

A great thing about inviting Mormon missionaries for lunch is
they will do the dishes and make cookies!
Sweet young ladies we get to work with.

When one of us gets a new purse we all have to have a new purse!

Zone Conference. We love all of our missionaries!

Interlaken, Switzerland

More Interlaken, Switzerland

We have come to love this Temple as our own.
Senior Missionary Conference. We learned so much from them
and had a great time.

We both got to make a noise. I played
Happy Birthday (no one recognized it but me).

I'm sure if we would have had more time
we could have played something
recognizable.

As part of the tour you can sample all of the chocolate you can
shove in your mouth. We rolled on out of there!

Sweetest experience of the week.
