This was a very sweet week and it was full: We were taught in two different conferences - one for the young missionaries and one for the "old, seasoned" missionaries. When we had a few minutes between meetings we explored. We had a great time seeing new things, meeting new people and learning from inspired people. We were able to tour a chocolate factory and witness a baptism on the same day - both very sweet experiences.
He's sitting outside our kitchen window. I've named him Friedrick
 and he apparently likes Cheerios.
We finished a quilt for a new sweet baby in our
branch.

A great thing about inviting Mormon missionaries for lunch is
they will do the dishes and make cookies!
Sweet young ladies we get to work with.

When one of us gets a new purse we all have to have a new purse!

Zone Conference. We love all of our missionaries!

Interlaken, Switzerland

More Interlaken, Switzerland

We have come to love this Temple as our own.
Senior Missionary Conference. We learned so much from them
and had a great time.

We both got to make a noise. I played
Happy Birthday (no one recognized it but me).

I'm sure if we would have had more time
we could have played something
recognizable.

As part of the tour you can sample all of the chocolate you can
shove in your mouth. We rolled on out of there!

Sweetest experience of the week.

Another District Meeting before another District Leader goes home.
Part of our English class. Four continents, five countries and somehow
we all communicate.
Great week of catch up and getting ready for a crazy week! We were able to visit some ladies from Africa - they live in such humble surroundings but are so grateful for all that they have. We played Bingo at English class - I say the words in German, they write them in English. Lots of laughing! We were able to deliver needed supplies to apartments. Fun comment of the week: "My companion didn't teach me how to turn the dish washer on before he left and I think I broke it." And we had a great visit with one of "our" boys from Jena. We love all these "kids!"
Elder Lee made her a new bed and she is happy.
Our "son" from Jena came to visit!

It was a beautiful week to have company! We ate, we traveled, we saw, we laughed, we played, we hiked and ate some more!

Salt Mine near Salzburg. Not for
someone with claustrophobia!
Santis, Switzerland was snowy and cold but
beautiful!
Before going into a salt mine you are provided with new clothes!
We could always find a rock to balance the camera on.
We ate some great food. Some we can't pronounce.
Every trip to Germany must include
Neuschwanstein!

Eagle's Nest served some fantastic food.

Sound of Music Tour in and near Salzburg, Austria.

The gazebo where Liesl danced.
Two of our handsome men overlooking an amazing valley.
A beautiful day at Hohentweil.
Maria Von Trapp and the children sang and
ran through here. So did our kids!

And all too soon it was time for them to go home.

And it's time for us to go back to work!

Just the girls.
It felt like a powerful week. Powerful experiences, power driving (lots of driving), powerful people. We spent time with our adopted family, checked more apartments, went to the Temple with the two newest missionaries from this branch, checked even more apartments and bought beds for one, and met Rob and Sienna at the Zurich airport. We are so excited to show them around these beautiful countries and introduce them to our family here.
Great Family Home Evening with this family.

Missionary power!

Power of respect and love.
Powerful place!

Such a great sight for us!

Powerful waterfall (within hours of their landing here).
Powerful people! Reinfalls complete with rainbow.

Power of laughter and friendship! We are meeting some
pretty amazing people.

Multi-language men who enjoyed a common language - Spanish.

Adoptive brothers and sister. So proud of all of them and especially
that they became instant friends.
